History of Bodytools

Bodytools truly has had humble beginnings. Bodytools began in 1982 out of the trunk of an orange Volkswagen bus in Venice Beach, CA selling massage tables to the local people. Later, the operations moved to nearby Van Nuys, CA. Additionally we traveled extensively all over the country, being on the road for weeks at a time, visiting stores and going to tradeshows to build the business. Buyers would visit the tradeshows to purchase a slowly growing line of massage and body tools.

Around 1987 we opened a storefront where the Bodytools operations grew and grew.

In 1994 Bodytools moved to Novato in Northern California adding a wholesale warehouse. Then we subsequently moved once again in 2000 to a small ranch in Lakeport, CA where we are now located. We have a large remodeled barn for warehousing  and office space.

Over the years Bodytools has had over 50 employees and has sold over 5 million massage and body care products.
